D. Hedges was the Referee and got the game underway before a crowd of 2,730. David Moss opened the scoring for Swindon after Twenty-nine minutes and that remained the score until the half-time break. Swindon brought Scott Endersby on as a substitute for goalkeeper Jake Findlay at the start of the second half, while Leeds brought on Ian Baird at Centre Forward for Andy Ritchie. The Swindon Centre Forward Colin Gordon scored in the sixty-third minute but it was an equalizer for Leeds! and substitute Ian Baird put Leeds in front just six minutes later. Ian Snodin put the game beyond Swindon when he got the third Leeds goal in the seventy-seventh minute. Neil Aspin was the Leeds unused substitute. Referee: Dennis Hedges (Oxford).
